Indian Head Massage
Frequently Asked Questions:
- How long will it take?
- 30 minutes from start of massage to end of massage. I will need around 5 minutes to set up the room and 5 minutes for a little chat afterwards.
- Where will you do it?
- At your home. You will need a chair to sit in that will make your shoulders, neck and head easy to reach if I stand behind you. I can bring a chair with me if you are unsure.
- What should I wear?
- You can wear a strappy top, so that your neck and shoulders are easily accesible for massage.
- Will you use oils?
- Oils are not traditionally used with an Indian Head Massage, but I can use an oil that you supply if you would like me to. Bear in mind that this oil will get into your hair.
- What are the benefits?
- Relaxation, this massage will help you to de-stress, to calm the mind and any manual manipulation of the muscles helps with stimulating blood flow and release of toxins.
- How should I prepare?
- Have a quiet, warm area in your home where you will have privacy. Have a glass of water available to drink afterwards (or during if you prefer). Wear comfortable clothing that will give me access to your neck and shoulders.
- What will happen?
- I will bring a chair, some relaxing music and some nice smelling incense. If you prefer no music then we can do it without and incense is for your enjoyment, so not necessary if you prefer none. I will take around 5 minutes to set the room up, then will massage your head, shoulders, neck and upper arms, also your face if you feel comfortable to do so. The massage is done seated and you can relax and have your eyes closed throughout. Let me know beforehand if you would like to chat during the massage and if not, then I will let you relax and enjoy it. Always tell me if there is anything that hurts and is unpleasant and I will stop.
- What should I do afterwards?
- Relax! Drink water, dress warmly and snuggle up.
- What does it cost?
- £30 for 30 minutes.
- What are your qualifications?
- I am an Indian Head Massage Practitioner and insured with the Guild of Holistic Therapists.
- Will you do a consultation?
- Yes, please fill in this form when you book the massage, and I will go through any issues you have before commencing the massage.
